Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 August 2026
By installing or using the Eclipse extension, or purchasing a Pro plan, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. The service
Eclipse is a browser extension that applies a dark theme and readability adjustments to the pages you browse. The free tier is fully functional with no account, no site cap, and no device cap. Pro adds custom themes, cross-device sync, scheduling, an accessibility suite, and related features.
2. Acceptable use
You agree to use the extension lawfully. You must not:
- Attempt to bypass or abuse the licensing or activation system.
- Reverse-engineer the extension to circumvent the Pro gate.
- Use the extension for any unlawful purpose.
3. Accounts & licenses
Pro access is tied to your email. You can view and revoke your signed-in devices at any time from the extension's Options page. Do not share your account or license.
4. Payments & billing
- Payments are processed by our Merchant of Record partner, Dodo Payments, who also handles applicable taxes/VAT.
- Subscriptions (Monthly, Annual) renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel anytime.
- Prices are shown in USD and may change with notice for future billing periods.
5. Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Individual websites may render imperfectly under dark-mode rewriting; we work to improve compatibility but do not guarantee a perfect result on every page.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
7. Termination
You may stop using the extension at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; the “last updated” date reflects the latest version.
9. Trademarks
Eclipse is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google, the Chrome browser, or any website it themes. All third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners.
